With this release, we are excited to announce that our beta version of the Voice over IP (VoIP) integration with Vonage is now live and generally available to all new and existing Vonage customers! This integration allows for lots of cool features to make your day to day easier. 


  • Customer Profiles - With Incoming calls, customer information is automatically pulled up so conversations are productive from the very start.
  • Call Routing - The ability to designate specific phone numbers for each client's specific insurance need - life, commercial, personal, etc. - automatically routes call through an automated workflow to the correct areas of operation.
  • Call Logging - Incoming and Outgoing calls will be logged as system activities on the customer's account in EZLynx creating a communication audit trail.

How to Enable the Vonage Integration


A Connect Marketplace Admin can enable the Vonage Integration from the Connect Marketplace icon under the Phone category.


1. Click the Connect Marketplace icon. 



2. Under the Marketplace tab, click the Phone card.



3. Then, click the Vonage card.



4. Click the Add Integration button.



5. Agree to the terms. 



6. Sign into Vonage with your Vonage username and password to connect your EZLynx Management System and your Vonage phone system. 



Configuring the Screen Pop


The Screen Pop is configured in your phone system. There is no setup required in EZLynx. This feature is typically set up by your phone service provider


Give them the base URL below. The highlighted number symbols represent the search phrase and should be replaced with the correct search phrase by your phone system provider.

The search phrase is usually something like.... %%caller_number_raw%%. The EZLynx preferred final output of the search phrase is the 10-digit phone number with no dashes. For example, "2145551234". If we combine the base URL with our phone example, the final URL would look like this: https://app.ezlynx.com/applicantportal/Search/Index?autoOpen=true&searchPhrase=2145551234 



Incoming Calls


When you receive an incoming call and the phone number matches only one insured's account in your EZLynx system, the Vonage Integration will automatically open a new EZLynx browser window and land you on the insured's Applicant Overview page. 


If the incoming phone number matches multiple insured's, an Applicant Search window will open showing all matches. Simply, click the insured's name for instant access to their account. 




Outbound Calls


Once the integration is enabled, you will be able to make outbound calls from the various areas of EZLynx. This includes: 

  • Applicant Overview
  • Carrier Directory
  • Sales Center
  • Communication Center
  • and more! 


Phone numbers are present as hyperlinks so you know that you can now make calls to the carrier contacts and insureds. You can make an outbound call by clicking on the desired phone number. A prompt will appear to confirm you do want to make an outbound call. 



Once you have confirmed the call in EZLynx, you will receive a notification from the Vonage Desktop Application. From the Vonage Desktop Application, you must answer the call through your Vonage VoIP system. The call is then made to the intended recipient via the Vonage application.
