Agency Carrier Defaults


What are Carrier Defaults?

Every carrier asks their own required underwriting questions during the quoting process. Users can set common answers as defaults that automatically pre-fill into new rating applications - this saves time!  Agent codes are required on every EZLynx rating application and these can be set as defaults also.  


To set Agency Defaults:

  1. Hover over the Settings icon, and select Carrier Quoting Setup.
  2. Click the #2 circle for Carrier Defaults (upper left).
  3. Select a line of business and state.
  4. Click Modify Defaults at the Bottom right.
  5. At the far right of each carrier, click the down arrow to see defaults.
  6. Under the Agency Default column, set the most common answer to each carrier question.  If you don't have the option to set Agency Defaults contact support@ezlynx.com.
    • EZTip: Users can set their own defaults to override Agency Defaults unless you check the padlock boxes. Users cannot override a locked default.  
  7. Click Save Changes at the upper right or bottom right.
  8. Repeat steps 3 - 7 for each line of business in every rating state.

Shared Carrier Logins - Optional

Do you want to control the carrier login information for all users? If so, send an email to support@ezlynx.com to request Shared Carrier Credentials. 


To access:

  • Hover over EZLynx Settings.
  • Select Carrier Quoting Setup.
  • On the Carrier Logins page, select the Shared Logins tab.

  • Click Set Login next to each carrier.
  • After the login successfully validates, a pop-up appears allowing you to select the Users you want to rate using ONLY this login. Selecting them prevents them from setting their individual carrier login information. 
  • Any user NOT selected, can still enter his/her individual login info for quoting.

  • Manage the users at any time by clicking Edit Shared Users next to the carrier name.
