Submission Center is designed to help track and organize submissions for commercial applicants to Carriers where automation does not exist or is limited. The Submission Center is meant to guide you through the submission process with focused communications, documents, and tasks. 


(Please note: The features down below are for users that have both Submission Center and Sales Center.)

Creating a New Submission


For Submission Center enabled users, the Create Submission button appears in a commercial applicant opportunity. Clicking the button displays the create submission screen for the applicant.

(Please note: Once the submission is completed if there is a line of business associated with the opportunity, it will be defaulted in the submission.) 


Managing a Linked Submission


Only one submission can be created from an opportunity and an opportunity cannot link to an already existing submission. Once a submission and an opportunity are linked, you can quickly switch between the two by using the respective "view" links. 


 

When an opportunity and a submission are linked the following systematic integrations occur: 

  • The submission and the opportunity will link to the same discussion
  • The interview track of the opportunity and the submission status will remain in sync. Any update in one place will update the status of the other.


Quotes Integration


When a Carrier submission line of business transitions to Quoted or Bound, a record will be entered in Quotes. All quotes entered for a submission will be viewed in the submission group along with relevant information to track the progress of the quotes. 



Directory


When an Underwriter is added to a Carrier in Submission Center, a new Carrier record will be added to the Directory along with the Underwriter created. If the Carrier exists in the Directory, prior to the Underwriter being added, it will not merge the two. It will add a new company. 


(Please note: The contacts in the Directory are not available in the Carrier settings in Submission Center and they are not available to select in the submission process.)
