With this release, we are excited to announce an update to the EZLynx Zapier app which is available in the Zapier marketplace. This update provides new actions, triggers, and adds more fields. How to Start Using the New Zapier App


  • If you are already using the EZLynx 2.x app in Zapier (also labeled "beta" in the Zapier marketplace), you will automatically be upgraded to the new version. 


  • If you are still using the EZLynx 1.x version app in Zapier, you will have to manually edit your zaps to select the new version. 


  • If you are not sure how to setup a Zap please see the Setting Up a Zap section of our Zapier Integration article. 


  • If you are interested in the EZLynx Zapier app, contact your EZLynx Sales Representative at sales@ezlynx.com 

Create Document Action 


The Zapier app now includes an action to create a document in EZLynx. This Create Document Action can be used to load supported document types from external systems into EZLynx. This action allows you to specify the document name and folder path, if desired. The following document types are currently supported: 


  • Microsoft Word (.doc and .docx)
  • Microsoft Excel (.xls and .xlsx)
  • Text (.txt)
  • Standard Image Files (.png, .jpg, and .jpeg)
  • PDF (.pdf)

Document Created & Edited Triggers


The Zapier app now includes triggers which will fire when a document is created or edited in EZLynx. The document itself is not included in the outbound data. This restriction is due to security concerns, because EZLynx cannot control what data is included in the document and where the document is sent. The following information will be included in the trigger: 


  • Organization ID
  • Applicant ID
  • Applicant First Name
  • Applicant Last Name
  • Document ID
  • Document Type
  • Document Name
  • Folder Path
  • Document Properties
    • Date Created
    • Date Modified
    • Policy Number
    • Policy ID
    • Certificate Master Name
    • Document Size

Create Personal Applicant with Opportunity Action

The Zapier app now includes the following additional fields to the existing Create Personal Applicant with Opportunity Action: 

  • Lead Source
  • Co-Applicant:
    • First Name - Required

    • Phone Type - If Phone Type is blank, HOME will be the default type.
