All EZLynx products integrate into one login. The capabilities you have when logged into your EZLynx account are based on which products your account is setup with and whether you have basic level or admin level permissions. Because of this, your screen may look different from your neighbor's or our EZLynx training content. If it seems you should have additional capabilities, please work with your Agency Admin.


In this article we cover the EZLynx Login Page and how to enroll in Two-Factor Authentication (2FA). Enrolling in 2FA is an easy key step in keeping your account and your customer's data safe and secure.

Logging into EZLynx


New users will receive a Welcome Email from EZLynx which provides your username and buttons to help set up your first password. When creating a password for EZLynx, please keep in mind the following security requirements:

  • Must be at least 8 characters
  • Have at least 1 upper case letter
  • Have at least 1 lower case letter
  • Have at least 1 number
  • Passwords are case sensitive
  • For security reasons, EZLynx prompts all users to update their password every 90 days.


After you have created your password, it's time to log into your EZLynx account!


1. To log into EZLynx go to https://www.ezlynx.com/ and select the Login option in the top-right. This will take you to the EZLynx Login page.



2. On the EZLynx Login page, enter your username and password you created using the Welcome Email and select the LOG IN button. When logging into EZLynx keep these things in mind:

  • EZLynx works best in the Google Chrome browser.
  • Your account will automatically be locked out after 5 missed attempts.
  • The system will warn you after the 3rd missed attempt that you only have 2 more attempts left before your account is locked.
  • If your account is locked, then you will be forced to do a password reset. The system will send an email to the email address we have on file with a link to reset your password. Until you reset your password, your account will remain locked.



If this is your first-time logging into your account, the system will prompt you to enroll in two-factor authentication(2FA). You are presented with a message about the benefits of enrolling and why 2FA is important. To get started with the enrollment process, select the Get Started button.


 


Two-Factor Enrollment - Phone Number


By default, the system first offers to set up your two-factor authentication (2FA) via your phone number. This option will allow you to receive a text message with the verification code needed to sign into your EZLynx account.


To proceed with using your phone number for 2FA, enter your phone number into the phone number field and select Next. Please make sure the number you enter can receive text messages as this is how you will get the authentication code. Also, EZLynx will only use this number for account security.



Attention! If you do not want to enroll your phone number with 2FA, select the Choose Another Option and it will take you to the Methods of Verification window where you can choose your preferred 2FA method.



Next, we need to confirm the phone number you provided is setup for 2FA. A code will be sent to the number you provided. Once you get the code, enter it into the Code field and select Next. If for some reason you did not get the code before the 15 minutes expires, select the Resend Code button to try again. 




And that's it! Congratulations, you successfully enrolled your phone number for 2FA! Upon successful enrollment, you have two options: 


1. Select the Add another verification option to add a secondary verification method in case your phone does not work. EZLynx highly recommends adding a secondary authentication for both security and ease of use reasons.


OR


2. Select Complete to finish the process and head into your EZLynx account. Check out our EZLynx Basics - User Settings article for setting up your account preferences.




If you select the Add another verification method, you'll be taken to the Methods of Verification window where you can see the Text option is already enrolled, the two other verification options available, and the option to continue to your EZLynx account.



Two-Factor Enrollment - Email


By default, the system first offers to set up your two-factor authentication (2FA) via your phone number.  If you would rather use your email as a verification method, select Choose another option. This will take you to the Methods of Verification window, where you can then choose Email. The email option means you will be getting the authentication code via the email address you provide.



To proceed with using your email for 2FA, enter your email address into the email address field and select Next.




Next, we need to confirm the email address you provided is setup for 2FA. A code will be sent to the email address you provided. Once you get the email with the code, enter it into the Code field and select Next. If for some reason you did not get the code before the 15 minutes expires, select the Resend Code button to try again.



And that's it! Congratulations, you successfully enrolled your email for 2FA! Upon successful enrollment, you have two options:

Two Factor Enrollment - Authenticator App


By default, the system first offers to set up your two-factor authentication (2FA) via your phone number.  If you would rather use an authenticator app as a verification method, select Choose another option. This will take you to the Methods of Verification window, where you can then choose Authenticator. This option allows you to get a verification code from your preferred authenticator app on your phone.




After selecting the authenticator option, you will need to ensure that you have installed an authenticator app on your phone. To get the best apps and tools for use with this feature, go to the app store on your phone and search for "authenticator"


Our top recommended authenticators are: 

  • Microsoft Authenticator
  • Google Duo
  • Authy
  • Okta


Once you have confirmed you have installed the desired authenticator on your phone, select Next to continue with enrollment.



Next, you'll need to activate your authenticator. Simply select the option within your app to add a new account and then scan the QR code on your computer. Alternatively, you can setup the account manually be entering the key below the QR code. Once you have successfully added an account to your app, you will see your authenticator start showing a code that you can enter into EZLynx. Select Next on the EZLynx screen to move to the next step.




Now, we need to confirm the authenticator you linked is setup for 2FA. Enter the code your app is displaying into the Code field. Once the system verifies that it matches your app, you can select Next.



And that's it! Congratulations, you successfully enrolled your authenticator for 2FA! Upon successful enrollment, you have two options: 


1. Select the Add another verification option to add a secondary verification method in case your app does not work. EZLynx highly recommends adding a secondary authentication for both security and ease of use reasons.


OR


2. Select Complete to finish the process and head into your EZLynx account. Check out our EZLynx Basics - User Settings article for setting up your account preferences.




If you select the Add another verification method, you'll be taken to the Methods of Verification window where you can see the Authenticator option is already enrolled, the two other verification options available, and the option to continue to your EZLynx account.




Two-Factor User Settings


If you have already enrolled with two-factor authentication (2FA) but want to enroll with a secondary option or update your current two-factor information, you can do so in your User Settings. To get there, select your User Icon in the top-right and then choose User Settings from the menu. This will take you to the User Settings page.



On the User Settings page, select the Two Factor tab. On this tab, you can manage all of your settings related to 2FA including deleting methods, updating methods, and adding new methods.
