With this release, we are excited to announce that Agents who quote and bind business with Carriers through a Market Access Provider, will now have the option to identify those specific carriers inside the Submission Center, and efficiently communicate the Bind Request workflow to your Underwriter or Service Representative. The distinction between Carriers accessed directly versus Carriers quoted using a Market Access provider will now be clear inside of the workflow.

Labeling Market Access Carriers in Submission Center


Now, your Agency's Submission Center Admin can identify Carriers supported through Market Access in the Submission Center. However, if you have enabled the EZLynx integration with Tarmika to receive small commercial quotes, no action is necessary, as quotes returned to EZLynx will identify those Carriers provided by Market Access.

If you do not have the Tarmika integration, you can still manually mark the Carriers that are supported through Market Access. To do this, hover over the Applicant icon, and then click on Submission Center. 




From within Submission Center, click the Carriers tab. Then, click on the Carrier in question. Finally, click the toggle 'Market Access' to enable it. By default this is always in the OFF state.



After a Carrier is identified as Market Access, the Submission Center will automatically add indicators next to the Carrier's name in the following places:


  • On the 'Select Carriers' Page



  • On the 'Carrier Submissions' page



  • Inside the Carrier details after clicking on the card above.




We also added the Tarmika indicator next to the Line of Business name on the Add LOBs page to indicate which Lines of Business is supported through the EZLynx integration for quoting with Tarmika.




Bind Request Workflow for Market Access Provider


After receiving quotes from Market Access Carriers, it is easy to communicate the Bind Request details to the Market Access Underwriter or Service Representative without leaving the Submission Center. When a line of business for a Market Access Carrier is in either 'Quoted' or 'Proposed' status, the 'Send Bind Request' option will be available. You simply need to select the line(s) of business and the Underwriter or Service Representative you want to send the Bind Request to and select the 'Bind Request' option. The moment you select this option an email window will appear. 



The email will pre-fill all the information necessary to communicate what is being requested to be bound and facilitate the binding process for the Underwriter or Service Representative. 


The information provided in the email: 


  • Carrier Name
  • Line of Business
  • Quoted Premium
  • Carrier Link - If quoted through the EZLynx integration with Tarmika, a Carrier link will be provided that navigates the Underwriter or Service Representative to the quoted account on the Carrier portal. 


Modify the email, if necessary, and click the 'Send' option to complete this action. The Lines of Business requested to bind will automatically be set to 'Bind Request' once the email is sent.



In the unlikely event of an error with the Status for the Line of Business or the Underwriter or Service Representative for the Bind Request, rest assured we will provide a helpful message when something is not right for sending the Bind Request.
