Modified on: Fri, 8 Dec, 2023 at 2:21 PM
We are delighted to announce that the Management System - Certificate Master Renewal Beta is now available in limited release for select Beta Users! We are not currently taking anymore applications for this Beta at this time but be on the lookout for future releases for Beta expansion.
We know that your time is valuable, and when it comes to creating a Certificate Master for a renewed policy, it can be time consuming. This new feature will allow you to simply renew a master certificate directly from the Actions menu for an existing Certificate Master. Let's see how it works!

How to access
At this time, this Beta feature is only available for select Beta users. Be on the lookout for future releases for Beta Expansion!
If you are the lucky few in this Beta currently, to access the new Beta feature, navigate to a Customer Account. From there, select the Certificates tab and choose an Expired, Pending, Expires, or Unknown Certificate. Then, select the Actions button. In the Actions menu you will see the new option Renew Master.
How it works
To renew a Certificate Master, simply select an existing Pending, Expiring, Expires, or Unknown Master and then select the Actions dropdown and select Renew Master. This will take you to the Renew Master page.
On the Renew Master page, you will see that you are able to confirm the Version of the selected policies on the certificate. Also note, that the Certificate name has been updated for the renewed document to include “Renewed From” before the name of the Certificate. To move to the next step, select the Save and Continue button.
The Master Remarks & Coverages, Certificate Master Documents, and Certificate Holders that were on the original Certificate Master will now also be on the Renewal Master that you have created. The workflow for renewing a master behaves the same as the current Edit Master Workflow for undistributed Certificate Masters.
You will be able to:
- Update Master Remarks & Coverages
- Review and add/remove any Master Documents
- Review and add/remove any Certificate Holders
- Update any Certificate holder remarks/documents/distribution method
- Review the Renewed Certificate Master PDF
- Distribute
If you aren't sure how to do the above steps, check out Management System - How to Create a Certificate Master training article!
For E&O purposes, we've also added new System Logs. You will now see a "Renewed Document" system log whenever someone renews a Certificate Master.
Why is this important?
Save Time – With this added feature, you will be able to complete the renewal process even faster for those account that have a large list of documents and Certificate Holders.
Eliminate Human Error – We get it. Humans aren’t without error. This will help eliminate those accidental oversights of forgotten Holders or missing documents.
We hope you are excited for this new feature and look forward to future releases for Beta expansion! Check out our related articles on the right-side of the page to learn more about mastering EZLynx.
