With this release we are excited to announce upgrades are being implemented to the EZLynx "Manage Departments" feature. The aim is to address previously identified limitations and meet the unique needs of larger Alliance Partners. 


With improvements in data security, visibility, and branch autonomy, these enhancements will streamline workflows, ensure seamless department management, and create a more secure and efficient platform for all of our EZLynx market segments. The result is a comprehensive, user-friendly product that provides extensive value to our customers. 


  • Enhanced Data Security: With improved visibility and control over department sharing and access, users can ensure their critical data is kept secure and confidential. 

 

  • Greater Autonomy: Branches with their own download settings can now create and manage their own departments, providing them with more flexibility and independence. 


  • Streamlined Workflow: By honoring individual branch download settings and ensuring proper policy-department association, it simplifies task distribution, making managing departments smoother and more efficient.


This feature is currently in a closed Beta so we are not taking any Beta applications for this feature at this time. Look for our future releases for updates on this feature's status, and check out our EZLynx Product Team Partner form for current open Beta features.

Updates for Parent and branches without downloads 


Departments created by parent agencies will only be shared with branches under them that do not have their own download settings. This ensures better control and data management. Existing departments created previously are unaffected by these changes.

Updates for the Branch with downloads 


Branches with their download settings can now create and manage their own departments, providing greater flexibility and autonomy. 


Department visibility has been restricted, ensuring that a department created by one branch is not visible to another, enhancing data confidentiality and integrity. 


The policy-department association will respect the download settings of the branch where policies are downloaded, reinforcing branch autonomy. 


Existing departments created previously are unaffected by these changes. However, admins of branches with their own downloads can choose whether to use those existing departments shared by parent agencies or not. 


These changes are incorporated everywhere departments can be selected in EZLynx for the consistency.

Why is this important?


  • Improved Task Distribution: The upgrade in the "Manage Departments" feature allows insurance agencies to segment their tasks more effectively. Branches can now create and manage their departments based on their unique download settings.   • Enhanced Data Management: The new update safeguards sensitive data between branches of an insurance agency. It only grants access to departmental data created by a parent branch to those subordinate branches without their own download settings. This separation significantly boosts the integrity and confidentiality of the data, preventing inadvertent sharing and maintaining high data security standards within the agency. 

 

  • Increased Operational Efficiency: The enhancement of the "Manage Departments" feature will allow Alliance Partners to clearly define, manage, and analyze their branch activities. This leads to streamlined operations, improved productivity, and ultimately, better results for both the agency and their clients.
