We are excited to announce the Policy Purchase - Safeco (Auto CO) Beta! This beta is currently only for Safeco Personal Auto Policies in the state of Colorado, so please keep this in mind before submitting an application to participate in the beta. If you are interested in participating in the beta, please fill out our EZLynx Product Partner Form.

At this time, EZLynx offers Rate Call 1 (RC1) meaning agents must navigate to the carrier website still to complete the application and buy the policy.

The Policy Purchase - Safeco Beta, aims to integrate support for ordering all the required reports, making the payment, and issue the policy which would allow agents to buy policies without having to leave the EZLynx Rater.  .

Once the initial rating call is completed and the application meets the requirements for proceeding (decided by carriers), agents should have the ability to go ahead with the policy-buying process.

The key benefits of this feature:

  • Greater Versatility – Eliminating the need for users to navigate to the carrier system.
  • Increase Efficiency – Enhanced user experience. Easier and faster to purchase the policy.
  • Future Scalability – Helps increase customer retention with the product.

In this article, we will cover the reports ordering process. The billing and policy issue processes are still under construction and will be released in a future update for this beta. We look forward to working together to make the best product we can!

You need to provide the Email address and an alternative phone number. These are required if you have not provided this information during RC1. You also need to confirm that you have explained about the program and verified the email address and phone number.

Once you have verified or modified the details on this page, and ready to move to the next steps, click on ‘Save & continue’. This will take you to report ordering process.

First report which you will be ordering is the 'Prior Insurance’ report which will provide you the details of any previous insurance coverages you may have.

You'll see the status of the report on this page. Any subsequent reports using the reorder button will let you know if there were any changes.

You can continue in the process, or if you find the report results are incorrect, you can go to Safeco’s Q&I site to view the report by clicking on the “Go to carrier” available on the right-side section of the page.

Once you continue from the Prior Insurance page, you will be directed to the Driver Discovery page to order the report to uncover any potential drivers in the household.

After ordering the report, you will be displayed with the details of primary applicant, co-applicant and any new drivers found.

New Driver Found chips will indicate each of the new drivers found in the report. You can then update the details of the drivers to make them either eligible or ineligible.

To make a driver eligible, select the value in the “Rated Driver” field as “Rated”.

There are three ways you can make a driver ineligible:

  • By selecting the value in the “Rated Driver” field as “Non-Rated” or “Excluded”.

  • By selecting the value in the “Relationship to Insured” field as “Duplicate Operator”, “Unknown – Customer does not know this operator” or “Deceased”.

  • By selecting the value in the “Relationship to Insured” as “Other” and “Household Status” as “Deceased”

After updating all the required details, you must click on “Update drivers” to add the eligible drivers to the application. Click on “Continue” to proceed to order the ‘Claims History” report.

You will be directed to the Claims History page to order the claims history report. This will give you a report of all the claims made for the vehicles added in the application.

You'll see the status of the report on this page. You can 'Continue' in the process, or if you find the report results is incorrect, you can go to Safeco’s Q&I site to view the report by clicking on the “Go to carrier” available on the right-side section of the page.

Once you continue from the “Claims History” page, you will be directed to the MVR Report page to order the report to find any incidents, license status or the eligibility of a driver.

Reorder: You can reorder the reports anytime by clicking on the ‘Reorder” button.

After all the reports are ordered, you are all set to proceed to the payment and policy issue process which will be released in future updates.
