With this release, we are excited to share an update for the Personal Lines Rater for Florida Home and Dwelling Fire quote application to Citizens.

  • You can now obtain a comparable quote premium from Citizens based on their underwriting rules after submitting a Home or Dwelling Fire application to Citizens and your other appointed carriers.
  • If Citizens rejects your quote application, you can still utilize special workflows to request an override exception manually.
  • If and when Citizens approves an override exception, you can proceed to bind the policy with Citizens.

 

Please note, we are rolling this feature out in batches so if you don't see the feature right now, don't worry. Keep an eye on your email for communication on which batch you are in so you can plan accordingly. While you are waiting your turn, please make sure you have the EZLogin extension installed for the best experience.

How it works


To find the feature, you must: 

  • Be an EZLynx User in Florida
  • Submit a Florida Home or Dwelling Fire quote application to Citizens with your appointed carriers.


Once on the Quote Results page, if Citizens rejected the application, the returned premium from Citizens will be displayed along with the new Request Manual Eligibility Exception button. It will also include the names of the carriers that caused rejection of the Citizens quote due to ineligibility in the carrier message.




Selecting the Request Manual Eligibility Exception button will provide you with instructions on how to request an eligibility exception from Citizens. These instructions will include:

  1. Citizens email address where supporting documentation related to the exception request needs to be sent.
  2. Quote number for the current submission with the ability to copy the number.
  3. A link to the Clearinghouse Powered by EZLynx Override Form that needs to be completed and included with the supporting documentation.




If and when the override exception request is approved by Citizens, the Request Manual Eligibility Exception button will be replaced by the Go To Carrier button to enable binding the policy with Citizens.



Attention! - If you do not have EZLogin installed, instead of Go to carrier, you will see Access Quote. Clicking Access Quote will not bridge over the application information to Policy Center. For the best experience, please make sure to install the EZLogin browser extension.
