With this release, we are excited to announce updates to the personal lines rater if you are an EZLynx user in Florida, submitting a Home and Dwelling Fire quote application to Citizens. 


You can use the Citizens Replacement Cost Estimator (RCE) lookup service to obtain certain property characteristic values and the replacement cost amount which will be prefilled into the current Home or Dwelling Fire quote application. 


This lookup service is provided by Citizens for unlimited transactions at no cost to you or your agency when quoting for a property address in Florida. If you are quoting for a property address outside Florida and do not have access to use a lookup service, please reach out to your Sales Specialist to enable the service.


This feature will be rolled out to applicable users on a set cadence to help ease into the new feature. Please keep and eye on your email for updates on when you will be provided access.

Pre-fill home Prerequisites


In order for the Pre-fill home button to display the following criteria must be met:

  • You should be an EZLynx user in Florida submitting a Home or Dwelling Fire quote application to Citizens with your other appointed carriers.
  • The property address is in Florida.
  • The rating applications must be one of the following policy types: 
    • HO3 
    • DP1 
    • DP3 

Accessing Pre-Fill Home


If above criteria is met, the ‘Pre-Fill Home’ button will be available to use on both the Applicant Details page and the Policy Info page of a HO3, DP1, or DP3 rating application.

Pre-Fill Home Workflow


Once you select the Pre-Fill Home button, you will be presented with the Pre-Fill Home window.


When opening this page from Applicant Details, you will be allowed to enter/ edit the applicant and property address information. 


When opening this page from Policy Info, the applicant and property address information is non-editable (read only).

 



1. Accept the terms of the Usage Agreement to proceed with the Citizens RCE lookup service. You can read the terms of the Usage Agreement by clicking on the words ‘Usage Agreement’. 

2. Select Next to continue. 




The RCE lookup service will obtain the Replacement Cost amount and the property characteristic values that can be used to pre-fill the corresponding fields in the Home or Dwelling Fire quote application. 


Fields for which valid values were obtained from the lookup service will automatically be checked for pre-fill while fields for which values were not found will automatically be unchecked. 


3. Choose to uncheck any field for which you do not want to pre-fill the value in the application. 

4. When you are ready, select Finish. 



After selecting Finish, the window will close and if you navigate to the Dwelling Info page of the application, you will now see the selected values pre-filled. Though these values are pre-filled, these can be changed in the application at your discretion.
