With this release, we are excited to announce the Single Sign-On (SSO) integration, starting with Citizens PolicyCenter!

This feature streamlines your login process, providing a secure and efficient way to access EZLynx using your existing Citizens PolicyCenter credentials. This initial release lays the groundwork for future SSO integrations.

  • Citizens SSO Integration: Log in directly using your Citizens PolicyCenter credentials. After an initial EZLynx login for authorization, subsequent logins will only require your Citizens credentials.
  • SSO Selection on Login Page: A new SSO option has been added to the login page, allowing you to choose from available SSO providers (currently only Citizens)
  • Help Desk Integration: Each SSO option includes a direct link to a dedicated help desk article, providing quick access to support and troubleshooting information.
  • User Settings: Third-Party Apps: A new “Third-Party Apps” tab in User Settings allows users to:
    • View all authorized SSO providers.
    • Access the SSO help document.
    • Revoke SSO authorization, requiring re-authorization via EZLynx credentials on the next login.

What's in it for me?

Efficiency and Security

  • This update significantly streamlines the login process, providing a faster and more secure way to access EZLynx. With the convenience of Citizens SSO, you'll experience reduced login times and enhanced security, allowing you to focus on what matters most – serving your clients.

User Control and Convenience

  • Citizens SSO simplifies the login experience while giving you the power to manage your authorized applications. Enjoy a seamless login process and easily track and revoke access to your connected SSO providers.

Setting up Citizens SSO

To setup the Citizens SSO, follow the steps below. Please note, you must have both Citizens PolicyCenter and EZLynx credentials ready in order to complete this setup. Check out our EZLynx Login Page & Two-Factor Authentication for help on how to setup your EZLynx credentials.

1. Access the EZLynx Login Page: https://app.ezlynx.com/auth/account/login

2. Select Log in with SSO. This will present you with a list of available SSO providers.

  • If an SSO provider (like Citizens) is enabled, you will see a button labeled "Log in with SSO."
  • If no SSO providers are enabled, this option will not display.

3. Choose Sign in with Citizens SSO. This will take you to the Citizens PolicyCenter login page.

4. Enter your Citizens PolicyCenter credentials. After successful Citizens login, you will be redirected back to an EZLynx login page.

5. Enter your EZLynx credentials. This step is only required during initial setup.

6. Upon successful EZLynx login, you will be logged into EZLynx and redirected to your dashboard.

Subsequent Citizens SSO Logins

For future logins, you will only need to input your Citizens PolicyCenter credentials. Then, you'll be redirected to the EZLynx dashboard. This is super helpful because you only have to remember one set of credentials.

After successful Citizens login, you will be redirected to your EZLynx dashboard.

User Settings – Third Party Apps

There is a new tab under your User Settings for Third Party Apps. This is where you can find which SSO vendors you are authorized for and remove them if need be.

1. Once logged into EZLynx, select your User Icon in the top right corner.

2. Select User Settings.  This will open the User Settings page.

3. Choose the Third Party Apps tab. This will display the list of authorized SSO providers (like Citizens). If you are not authorized with any SSO providers, the list will be empty.

For each authorized SSO app, you will see:

  • Logo: The logo of the SSO provider.
  • App Name: The name of the SSO application (e.g., Citizens SSO).
  • Support Link: A clickable link that opens the SSO provider's support documentation in a new tab.
  • Last Authorized: The date and time when the SSO authorization was granted.
  • Remove: An option to revoke the SSO authorization.
    • Remove SSO Authorization: Selecting "Remove" will revoke the authorization for that SSO provider.
    • Re-authorize SSO: To re-authorize a removed SSO provider, simply log in using that SSO provider through the EZLynx login page again.

User Settings – Login Activity

When you successfully log in using Citizens SSO, the Login Activity tab will display an entry stating, "Login success with Citizens SSO". This entry will be accompanied by the date and time of the login, and any other relevant login details. This will allow users to see that they logged in with the SSO, and for admins to audit logins.

1. Once logged into EZLynx, select your User Icon in the top right corner.

2. Select User Settings.  This will open the User Settings page.

3. Choose the Login Activity tab. You will see a list of your recent login attempts.
