As part of our 25.4.3 hotfix, we have rolled out three updates for the Rating Engine. The first is support of E&S carriers and the second is an update that is specific to the Citizens Clearinghouse.

E&S Carrier Support in Personal Lines Rating 

With the addition of E&S carriers, we needed to update the quote results pages to highlight these carriers to differentiate them from the standard carriers.  When quote results are returned for E&S carriers in EZLynx, you will see a chip showing that the carrier is an E&S carrier.

 

 


Update to the Citizens Clearinghouse

For agents that are leveraging the Citizens Clearinghouse powered by EZLynx, when you are choosing to rate with an E&S carrier and Citizens, you will notice not only a chip indicating that the carrier is an E&S carrier, but you will also see a message stating that the E&S carrier does not impact the Citizens eligibility. We provided this information to help in case of the need to do a manual override to seek coverage with Citizens.  

 

 

If you choose to rate in the Clearinghouse and you do not select Citizens as a carrier to rate with, then you will only see the chip indicating that the carrier returning the quote is an E&S carrier.

 

Update to the Locked Fields in the Citizens Renewal Workflow

For Citizens renewals, if the following question is answered YES: Is there a business or daycare on the premises? Then the following three fields will be unlocked in the application:

  • Business Name
  • Business Class
  • Incidental Business

This update has been made to help resolve errors that you might have experienced while trying to submit renewals in the Clearinghouse.
