With EZLynx Applications, we’ve streamlined the process of manually quoting Commercial lines.  Complete the application once in EZLynx, then easily create the necessary ACORD quoting packages for submission to multiple carriers. We also support personal lines applications to use for non-EZLynx rating carriers.


Once an application is quoted and the policy is sold, quickly convert the application to a policy in EZLynx. Conversely, a current policy can be used to create an Application for re-marketing purposes.

Creating a Manual Application


1. To create a Manual Application, go to a Customer's Overview tab.

2. Click the Applications tab if this is your first application then click the Add Application button. 

3. If this isn't your first application, click the Actions button and then hover over Add Application and click Manual. 


4. Decide Commercial or Personal.

5. Then select the Line of Business and Rating State, enter a Description, and click Add Application.


6. Complete the Application, and all ACORD forms created in EZLynx will pre-fill with the data entered.

7. When finished, click Save and Close.



Converting Application to Policy


This tutorial shows agents how to create a policy from a manual application in EZLynx. An agent will typically need to convert to a policy, when a carrier does not support downloading for the sold line of business. When you have a completed application, there is no need to manually enter in all policy data. This workflow saves agents time by transferring all existing coverages in an application, into a new policy. 


1. Click the Customer's Overview tab

2. Click the Applications tab.

3. Click the More Actions Icon.

4. Then click Convert to Policy.




5. In the Add New Policy box, complete all required informationWhen ready, click Add & Edit Policy.



6. Scroll through each tab of the Policy Entry Screens, to complete or update coverage and policy limits.

When finished, click Save & Close.

 

View the new policy from the applicant's Overview tab on the Policies card or the Customer's Policies tab.



Remarket Policies with Applications


When an Agent wants to remarket a policy by using ACORD forms, they can easily convert a Policy into an Application. Most common Commercial line of business types will convert into an Application with more lines coming soon. Several Personal line of business types are also available to be converted to an application.

1. Click on the Customer's Overview tab. 

2. Click the Policies card.

3. Click the More Actions icon.

4. Hover over Service.

5. Click Create Application.


6. Input all the necessary information and click the Add Application button. 


7. Notice all policy data is pre-filled throughout each tab now. EZTip: We advise to review all data and make any changes necessary to the application, before clicking Save and Close.



8. Once you've finalized the policy, you can find the application on the Customer's Overview tab under the Applications card.

9. To quickly get all the information you used for quoting into a manual policy, click the More Actions icon.

10. Then, click Convert to Policy. 

11. Now, you can click the Forms icon and send off any forms your customer needs.
