Carrier Documents or eDocs include Declaration Pages, Policy Documents, Notice of Final Cancellation, Non-Payment Pending Cancellation, Non-Renewal Notice, Payment Overdue and Reinstatement Notice. eDocs will automatically attach to your insured's account and policy making it easier for you to locate the documents and share them to your client securely through our Client Center Portal. In this article we will cover the following:

  • Carrier eDocs Associating to a Policy - What happens when a carrier eDoc associates to a policy automatically
  • Visibility into Carrier eDocs - How you can tell when a Carrier Document/eDoc comes in
  • Sharing eDocs to Client Center - How to share these documents securely through our Client Center product

To see which carriers are currently sending eDocs, please see EZLynx Downloading Carriers

(Please note: This feature is included with our Management System product and the sharing portion of this article will be talking about our Client Center product.)

Carrier eDocs Associating to a Policy

When a carrier eDoc is received, the system automatically associates the document to the matching policy in your account. When a matching policy is found, a new folder labeled Carrier eDocs is created under that client's Documents tab

Inside that folder, you will find more folders labeled with the name of the carrier that an eDoc has been received from. Any future documents received from those carrier's for this client will be added to the respective carrier's folder.

Visibility into Carrier eDocs

When you look at a customer's Overview page in EZLynx 5, you can see how many new carrier documents are associated to a policy via the Carrier eDocs chip

  • The number increases whenever a new carrier eDoc matches to this policy.
  • The number decreases when you share the carrier eDoc to your client or if 14 days pass from when the eDoc came in.

Underneath the Activity tab of a client's account, the System Log section allows you to view a log of activities pertaining to the carrier eDoc. It will show information such as:

  • When a carrier eDoc came in
  • Which carrier the eDoc was from
  • The policy number the eDoc was matched to
  • If the eDoc has been shared to the Client Center
  • Which EZLynx User shared the eDoc to the Client Center

Sharing eDocs to Client Center

As a best practice, we recommend sharing documents to your clients through our Client Center product as it facilitates a secure and fast communication. This will allow you to share important carrier eDocs such as declaration pages and ID cards as well as time-sensitive documents such as non-payment cancellation notices, non-renewal notices, and payment overdue notices.
