Our Summary of Insurance feature allows you to quickly generate a Commerical Lines summary of insured information, coverages, endorsements, and other relevant information. This is very useful during remarketing and renewal time as you can simply print out everything your client needs to know about their current coverage. This article will cover the following:
- How to generate a Summary of Insurance
- How to edit and save a Summary of Insurance
(Please note: This feature is included in our Policy Management product.)
Generating a Summary of Insurance
1. Navigate to the Documents tab of a customer's account.
2. Select the Add button.
3. Choose the Summary of Insurance option. This will take you to a new page.
3. Name the document. Best practice is to include the term of the policy you are using the document for.
4. Select the line of business and policy.
5. Click the Generate Summary of Insurance button.
(Please note: You can add as many lines of business as you would like as long as there is a policy to associate it to using the +Add Line of Business button.)
While the summary is being generated you will see in the top left-hand corner the words "Working..." Depending on just how many lines of business you apply and how big the policies are this could take a few minutes. Once the summary is generated, our document editor will pop-up.
(Please note: If you have block pop-ups turned on in your browser settings, this will not appear. Please make sure to disable your pop-up blocker in your browser settings using the steps in this article: How to Disable Pop-Up Blocker)
Edit and Save a Summary of Insurance
Once the document editor pop-ups you can modify the document, change the cover picture, and much more to customize this how you would like.
1. Once you are ready to save the summary into the Document Library, click the File tab.
2. Click Save. This will save it as a Word file and it will automatically update the stored document so you can always easily access the most recent version.
3. If you would like to save the file as a PDF, click Print.
