What Lines of Business can I quote with Rating Engine?
Currently, supported are Personal Lines Auto, Home, and Dwelling Fire. It does not currently support sub-lines of business like Mobile Homes, RVs, or motorcycles.
Can I integrate a Lead Generator?

How do I get customer information into the Rating Engine?
There are several ways to have new customer data inputted into EZLynx without having to type the information manually - saving you time!
- EZLynx Consumer Quoting: Leads generated from your agency's website - provide consumers visiting your site with live quoting or simply gather consumer information.
- Personal URLs (PURLs): Send a PURL to your customer so they can update their own information in your EZLynx account.
- EZLynx Management System: Our management system can accept downloads directly from your download carriers.
- Compatible Lead Generators: Compatible leads generating vendors can transfer leads directly to your EZLynx account.
- Compatible Management System: Export from a compatible management system directly to your EZLynx account.
If you don't use any of these methods to create new applicants in EZLynx, you can always add them manually.
Does EZLynx run MVR/CLUE/Credit Reports?
MVR/CLUE
EZLynx does not run MVR or CLUE reports, nor do we authorize the carriers to do so during the rating process. Normally, there is a fee associated with reports, so it would be costly to run reports on every carrier for every quote. The reports can be run on a carrier site while finalizing a quote. If additional information is identified at that time, you can always go back to the Rating Application Incidents tab to enter in the new information to resubmit the quote. You may find a different carrier more competitive with the new risk information.
Credit Checks
EZLynx does not run Credit Checks. However, within each Rating Application, you can authorize the carriers to run credit checks. We do recommend allowing this as most carriers will not return a successful quote without a credit check. By selecting Yes, you authorize each carrier to run credit checks on their site, if they choose to do so. A Customer's Credit Score is used in the underwriting process to generate the quoted premium.
Do I have to input the Social Security Number?
Credit can be run with or without the Customer's Social Security Number (SSN), but the credit score is more accurate with the SSN, so in turn the quote is more accurate. If the SSN is not entered in a Rating Application, the system displays a warning message on the Valid tab that the SSN field is empty. This link is only a warning to help if you meant to enter the SSN, but leaving the SSN blank does not stop you from submitting the application for a quote.
Does Failed Address Validation keep me from quoting?
On the Details tab, we validate the Customer's Address via the US Postal Service. Address validation can fail for various reasons. For example, the property could be a under construction or in a rural area. If the validation fails, you can still submit the application and receive a successful quote. On the Valid tab, you may see a warning message but it does not prevent quoting.
How long are Customer Accounts & Quotes saved in EZLynx?
As long as your agency is an active EZLynx customer, Customer Accounts are not removed from your account. Quotes are saved for 18 months.
How do I quote a Next year Model Vehicle?
We pull VIN information from the POLK System. They typically add the next year VINs from late October to March. To receive a successful quote in Rating Engine, use a prior model year VIN to submit the quote. Then, simply update on the carrier site once finished.
Why is the Carrier currently disabled?
When a carrier is temporary disabled, quoting for that carrier is temporarily disabled for all EZLynx users. Your ability to receive successful EZLynx quotes is our number 1 priority so when you see this message, please know that we are working very hard to re-enable the carrier as soon as possible. Once, everything is working again the carrier is automatically re-enabled so you don't need to do anything.
There are several reasons that EZLynx temporarily disables a carrier.
- There are temporary technical issues with communication between the Carrier and EZLynx systems. Even though you may be able to log directly into the carrier to get a quote, we still may be unable to provide a quote in EZLynx.
- There is a temporary issues on the carrier site that is causing a lot of quoting errors. In this case, we prefer to temporarily disable the carrier rather than have many agents receiving errors.
- There was an unscheduled scripting change on the carrier site that affects EZLynx's ability to provide quotes. When this happens, we may have to make scripting changes on our side to accommodate the carriers changes. The length of time a carrier is disabled varies greatly in this scenario.
Can I bind a quote in EZLynx?
