With this release we are happy to add the ability to Edit Downloads and apply Change Requests to Download Package Policies! These features have been available for downloaded monoline policies but now you can enjoy them on your downloaded package policies as well.

TABLE OF CONTENTS

Change Request for Downloaded Packages

For downloaded package policies, you will now be able to see the Change Request option in the Actions dropdown. You will be able to proceed to Edit Change Request, which will take you to the supporting entry screens for the respective sublines of business in the package. You will be able to Preview the changes, as well as generate a memo, ACORD 175, and Full Policy Details.

From the History tab, under the Actions dropdown for a Change Request, you can Confirm Change which presents the Policy Compare screen where the user can confirm the changes applied. Once manually confirmed, the policy now becomes a manual policy.

Edit Downloads for Downloaded Packages

A downloaded policy may contain incomplete data that does not fully represent the customer policy details. The Edit feature allows you to augment information, or input missing data, and merge the changes with the downloaded data to ensure one comprehensive data set.

When you proceed to Save & Continue Edit, you are prompted to confirm whether you want to proceed with editing as opposed to performing a Change Request.

Proceeding with the Edit option, you will see the downloaded data in the policy entry screens as locked fields, (i.e: users cannot change what has come in the download but can add to it). Once you save and close the policy screens, you will be able to see the data you added plus the downloaded data in the summary screen.

On any subsequent download for that policy, the system will auto merge user updated information in the manual transaction with the information in the downloaded transaction. If any information is missing in the new download, your version will not be overwritten where you previously filled in missing values. For example, if you entered the insured's website manually and a subsequent download does not contain the insured's website, the system will maintain the your manually entered value for the insured's website.

On the History tab, you can see a version icon on the transaction. New versions are created when you save your edits to a downloaded policy. This versioning information allows you to see when it was edited and who edited it. It also allows you the ability to restore a previous version or compare it.

Please Note! Some Lines of Business will not have Edit Download feature as there are no supporting policy entry screens for them. Only the below listed Lines of Business support this Edit Download Feature:

  • Auto (Commercial)
  • General Liability
  • Commercial Property
  • Inland Marine (Commercial)
  • Workers Compensation
  • Business Owners
  • Umbrella (Commercial)
  • Crime
  • Commercial Package
