A required security update is now available for the EZLynx for Outlook Plug-in. This update addresses protocol vulnerabilities in the previous version. 


  • If you have the EZLynx for Outlook Plug-in, you will need to uninstall and reinstall the Plug-in, so the security update is applied.


  • If you have the EZLynx for Outlook Add-in, for Microsoft Office 365 subscribers, no further action is required.


Please ensure that the security update is performed prior to November 30, 2022, to avoid any interruption in service.

How to tell if you have EZLynx for Outlook Plug-in


There are two types of Outlook-bridging tools withing EZLynx, the EZLynx for Outlook Plug-in and the newer Outlook Office 365 Add-in. Knowing which of these you have will determine the steps you need to take. Here is what you can check to determine if you have the Add-in or the Plug-in.


If you have an EZLynx icon next to the Get Add-ins button in the Outlook Ribbon, you have the Add-in version. Check out the 'What if I have the Add-in?' section of this article for next steps.


If you have an EZLynx blue bar on the right-hand side of your Outlook, you have the Plug-in version. Check out the 'What if I have the Plug-in?' section of this article for next steps.

What if I have the Plug-in?


  • If you have the EZLynx for Outlook Plug-in, you will need to uninstall and reinstall the Plug-in, so the security update is applied. 


    Follow the below steps to complete this process:

  1. Uninstall the Plug-in
  2. Install the New Version of the Plug-in


    Note: Both steps must be completed (in this order) for a successful update.

Attention! - Outlook Plug-in will no longer connect to your EZLynx account if you have not installed our latest version prior to November 30, 2022.

What if I have the Add-in?


If you have the EZLynx for Outlook Add-in, no further action is required. This version of EZLynx Outlook has the most recent security updates already.
