We are pleased to announce updates that have been made to Master Certificate Holders regarding visibility of Holder Remarks and customizing the Asset Entry at the Holder level for a Master Certificate. 

• You can now view the Holder Remarks for each holder without having to edit the Holder. 
• Editing a Holder will no longer open as a modal and will now be a separate screen. 
• Subjects of Insurance are now handled as part of the Certificate Details for Certificate Holders

Holder Remarks 

When viewing Certificate Holders associated with a Certificate, you will now see there is a column containing the Holder Remarks for the Holders. This will be visible in the Master Certificate tab as well as within the Edit Master workflow.

You can edit existing certificate holders by clicking on the Actions icon, choosing Edit certificate holder, and going to the Holder Remarks tab.

These rows can be expanded if the text is long, or your browser window/resolution makes the remarks longer than three lines of text within the table. If this occurs, you will see an option to “Read More” which will expand the row to allow for viewing the entire contents of the remarks. Please note, only one row can be expanded at a time.

Holder Asset Entry 

For Subjects of Insurance to be displayed, a Location and Building must be selected for the Certificate Holder. The ability to indicate the Location and Building is within the Certificate Details for Certificate Holders. 

Once the Location and Building are chosen, the Appropriate Subjects of Insurance will flow in as they are listed on the policy entry screens. If you change the Location and Building, they will update accordingly. 

From here, you can update the coverages as needed. You can: 

• Delete/update/add a Coverage 
• Update an associated Amount of Insurance 
• Update an associated Deductible 

Note: When saved, this information does not update the policy. 

Once the desired information is updated you can then distribute the Master Certificate and the coverages will be listed as they are within the Holder’s Certificate Details. 

Why is this important?

This allows you to modify the subject of insurance by holder to generate a more relevant certificate for the holder and providing a simpler view to see holder remarks associated to a certificate holder.  

Subjects of Insurance will flow directly from the policy entry screens to the Certificate Details for Holders. No need to remember what was at the policy level and provide them manually. 

Many certificate holders are identical where the holder remarks are specific and descriptive for that specific certificate. Increasing visibility for comparison between holders will allow for quick identification of specific holders.
