Custom Bundle Personal Lines Proposals
Modified on: Fri, 28 Aug, 2026 at 1:54 PM
We are pleased to announce a comprehensive enhancement to the Proposals workflow with the new Custom Bundle Proposal. This update introduces a new Custom Bundle option that lets you combine multiple Lines of Business across different carriers, including both rater quotes and manual quotes, into one polished, customer-facing presentation, so your customer can review all their options in a single place.
Selling personal lines often means presenting several carriers and coverage types at once, and Custom Bundle Proposals lets you reflect that real-world quoting scenario simply and clearly, without the extra back and forth. Want to give your customer options? The same quote can now be reused across multiple proposals and custom bundles if needed, so you can build several bundle combinations side by side.
What's New:
- New Custom Bundle option that lets you combine multiple Lines of Business across different carriers, including both rater quotes and manual quotes.
- Expanded to 38 Personal Lines LOB support to be able to generate manual quotes.
- Custom Bundles allow users to select documents from the document library, or upload documents which automatically get saved to EZLynx.
- Removed restrictions that previously prevented users from being able to generate multiple proposals for the same quote.
- Introduced EVA Content generation in the personalization step.
TABLE OF CONTENTS
What's in it for me
- Combine rater and manual quotes in one proposal: Bundle Auto, Home, Condo, Renters, and more, mixing rater quotes and manual quotes freely, into one proposal instead of juggling several, reflecting how you need to quote personal lines in your day-to-day workflow.
- Reuse quotes across multiple proposals for more flexibility: The same quote can appear in more than one proposal, so you can build side-by-side options for a customer without unsharing a pre-existing proposal.
- Guide the decision with Agent's Top Choice: When you build multiple Custom Bundles for the same customer to consider, mark just one as your Top Choice so your customer sees a single clear recommendation reflecting your expertise, keeping the sales experience smooth instead of presenting a list of equal options.
- Attach documents from your Document Library: For Custom Bundles, add supporting documents, including PDFs, at the carrier and Line of Business level, so nothing gets lost or mismatched when the proposal goes out.
- Write customer messaging faster with EVA: Generate the “Educate Your Customer” message with AI assistance, now tuned to fit better within the message character limit (1500 characters), then edit or regenerate it until it sounds right.
Accessing the feature
From an applicant with rater or manual quotes, navigate to the Quote Results page, and select Create Proposal. On the Getting Started step, choose Custom Bundle, name your proposal, and select Continue.

How it works
Step 1: Select Your Quotes
On the "Carrier Quotes" step, you'll see separate sections for Rater Quotes and Manual Quotes. Open the dropdown for either section to see available quotes, each listed with carrier name, Lines of Business, and premium.
Select one or more quotes from either or both sections. If a manual quote was created, or last edited, more than 30 days ago, it won't appear in the list.

Rater Quotes:

Manual Quotes:

If no manual quote has been created, user will need to exit workflow, enter manual quote and restart proposal.

Please note – in an upcoming enhancement we are planning to introduce an action that allows users to enter a manual quote without exiting the workflow. Commitment quarter is TBD.
Manual quotes have been expanded to support 38 PL LOBs
This release also expands which Personal Lines can be used to start a proposal from a manual quote. Previously, manual-quote proposals were limited to five LOBs: Auto, Homeowners, Dwelling Fire, Renters, and Condominium. The following additional LOBs are now supported for manual-quote proposals:
- Auto Personal, Canine Liability, Computers (EDP), Condo, Crop Insurance, Dwelling Fire, Earthquake, Equine, Equine Liability, Excess Flood, Excess Liability, Farm Fire, Farm Liability, Farm Umbrella, Farm Wind, Farmowner, Fine Arts, Flood, Homeowners, Inland Marine (Personal), Jewelry, Mobile Home, Modular Home, Motorcycle, Personal Liability, Pet Insurance, Recreational Vehicle, Renters, Roadside Assistance, Snowmobile, Travel, Travel Trailer, Umbrella (Personal), Vacant Property, Vacation Property, Watercraft (small boat), Wind Policies, Yacht.
Step 2: Confirm Premiums and Coverage
For each carrier you selected, a carrier card appears showing every Line of Business quoted, with Paid in Full, Monthly, and Monthly EFT premium options. All Lines of Business and their Paid in Full premium are selected by default. Uncheck any Line of Business or premium option you don't want to include.

Premium Selection:

Home and Auto Rater quotes from the same carrier can now be split. Allowing users to select the Home LOB from a bundle rater quote and the auto quote from a different carrier.

Step 3: Review Selected Quotes
As you make selections, the Selected Quotes section updates automatically to show exactly what your customer will see, grouped by carrier and quote source.
To remove a Line of Business, uncheck its checkbox directly in the Selected Quotes section, or uncheck all its premium options in the carrier card above, either way removes it automatically.
If nothing is selected, you'll see "No quotes selected" until you choose at least one Line of Business.

Step 4: Attach Supporting Documents (Custom Bundle workflow only)
Next to any Line of Business, select Attach documents to upload new files or choose from the applicant's existing Document Library. Once attached, the link updates to View documents with a count badge. Supported formats are PDF, JPEG, JPG, and PNG, up to 12MB total.
Manage Documents Page:

Please note – in an upcoming enhancement we are planning to expand the option to select documents from the document library to the single lob proposal workflow. Commitment quarter is TBD.

Step 5: Mark Your Top Choice (optional)
Once at least one Line of Business is selected, you'll see the option to Mark this bundle as agent's top choice. Select it to flag this Custom Bundle as your recommended proposal before continuing.

Step 6: Educate Your Customer
Select Continue to move to the "Educate Your Customer" step. Type your own message, or if you are an Advanced Package User, select the "Generate content with EVA" to have AI draft one for you. Choose a tone and length, enter a prompt, and select Generate. Once EVA produces a draft, you can ask for revisions, insert it into your message field, or cancel and keep your own text.

Practical Applications
Here are 4 ways your agency can make the most out of this feature:
- A multi-policy household, one proposal. Your customer needs Auto and Homeowners, and the best rate for each comes from different carriers. Instead of two separate proposals, build one Custom Bundle combining both, so your customer reviews and accepts everything in a single place.
- Presenting options without re-quoting. A prospect is comparing a budget-friendly bundle against a broader-coverage bundle. Since the same quote can be reused across proposals, you can build both bundle proposals from your existing quotes, mark the one you'd recommend as your Top Choice, and send both. This guides their decision without extra rating work to include the same quote in another proposal.
- Layering additional coverages such as Umbrella or Travel Trailer policy across carriers. Your customer already has Home with one carrier and Auto with another, and now wants an Umbrella policy for extra liability protection on top of both. Combine all three into one Custom Bundle instead of a third disconnected proposal, so your customer sees their full protection picture, Home, Auto, and Umbrella, together in one place.
- Combining rater quotes with manual quotes. A customer has a standard Auto policy rated through your comparative rater, plus a Watercraft policy you quoted manually with a niche carrier. Combine both into one bundle, attach the manual carrier's supporting documents to that Line of Business, and present a single, cohesive proposal instead of two disconnected ones.
