EZLynx simplifies the user experience by using icons instead of words. Knowing what the icons indicate can help you master the system faster. In this article, we cover the different icons that you can find throughout EZLynx. The tables below have been organized into the different places in EZLynx you can find the icons in the system.

Left Navigation Bar


The left navigation bar can be seen regardless of where you are in the system. It mainly houses the icons for the different products. It is one of the major navigation features because you can hover over each icon to bring up a menu to the right with clickable links pertaining to that product or category. For the few icons that do not reveal a menu, those are buttons. Simply click on the button to navigate to that page.

EZLynx LogoWhen clicked, this icon will take you back to the EZLynx Home Page.
Dashboard
When hovered over, there are links for the Home Page and the Directory. If you have access to the Agency Workspace feature in Management System, you can also find links to the Agency Activity & Agency Tasks links.
ApplicantsWhen hovered over, there are links for you to create new applicants, search for applicants, import applicants, & view quotes. 
Policy ManagementWhen hovered over, you can find the policy and claim transactions, the ACORD library, and the links related to commissions. Please note, the commission links are only visible if you are a Management System Admin.
Communication CenterWhen hovered over, you can find links related to email campaigns, voice and text, postal mail and virtual agent. Depending on what products are included in your package will determine which links you see.
Accounting
When hovered over, you can find links related to the Accounting product like billing, receivables, payables, general ledger, reporting, and configuration. Please note, Accounting permissions will determine which links you see.
ReportingWhen hovered over, you can find links related to the different Reports a Management System Admin can pull as well as links to saved & scheduled report links. 
SettingsWhen hovered over, you can find links related to different Settings for most products and features. Depending on what products are included in your package will determine which links you see.
Agency AdminWhen clicked, you will be taken to a page only available for Agency Admins. There you can manage users, manage carriers for the Rating Engine, as well as manage security settings for your agency. 
SupportWhen hovered over, you can find links to the support center, training videos, webinars, carrier library, and if enabled EZLynx University. There is also a link to contact our Support team if you have any issues.
Retention CenterWhen hovered over, you can find links related to Retention Center such as the overview page, reports, and settings.
Sales CenterWhen hovered over, you can find links related to Sales Center such as opportunities, prospecting, reports and settings. 
Connect Marketplace
When hovered over, you can find links related to Connect Marketplace where you can view, manage, and add integrations. If you also have Connect Marketplace Admin permissions, you'll also find branch & hidden configuration links for integrations.
Buy Online PortalWhen clicked, you will be taken to the Buy Online Portal page where you can submit a form if you're interested in purchasing any additional EZLynx products.
Refer a FriendWhen clicked, a new window will open where you can refer someone to EZLynx. There are monetary rewards for referrals, but please read the fine print at the bottom of the page before making a submission.

Top Navigation Bar


The top navigation bar can be seen regardless of where you are in the system. It houses the Super Search, your User Profile icon, the Help Icon, and icons for products like Agency Workspace and Automation Center. For the few icons that do not reveal a menu, those are buttons. Simply click on the button to navigate to that page.

EZLynx LogoWhen clicked, this icon will take you back to the EZLynx Home Page.
Super SearchWhen clicked, you can type in the insured's name, address, phone number, or policy number to get a drop down of possible accounts that match the criteria.
Applicant SearchWhen clicked, you will be taken to the Applicant Search page which allows you to search for an account using detailed filters.
User Profile
When clicked, you will see your EZLynx Username, the option to go to User Settings or to logout of your EZLynx account.
Add Note
When clicked, the Agency Workspace pane will open which will allow you to add a note or task to an account.
Task List
When clicked, the Agency Workspace pane will open to show a list of tasks for the account you are currently on.
Notifications
When clicked, the Notifications pane will open to show a list of unread notifications. To see read notifications, click Show Read.
Workflows
When clicked, the Automation Center Workflows pane will open to allow you to search for an account to see workflows in progress, history of workflows, and to start a manual workflow for that account if available.
Help
When clicked, the Help Widget opens which allows you to Chat with our Support Staff and search through our Knowledge Base to find helpful articles and videos.


Did you know? - There is a keyboard shortcut for the Help Widget! Just press CRTL + / on your keyboard to open up the Help Widget whenever you need.

Applicant Pane


The Applicant Pane can be seen when you are on a customer's account and is always visible while navigating the different tabs of the customer's account. It houses key information you can use while working on the customer's account like email and text. For the icons that do not reveal a menu, those are buttons. Simply click on the button to navigate to that page.

IconNameDescription
Account Name
The Account Name is a clickable link that takes you back to the customer's Overview page.
VIP
The VIP icon allows you to mark customer accounts as VIP. An unfilled star means that the account is not VIP. A filled star means that the account is marked as VIP. Simply click on the icon to toggle the VIP on or off.
Email
The Email icon when clicked allows you to email your customer directly from within EZLynx. Note - Customer replies will be routed back to your own email inbox. They will not come back to EZLynx automatcially. To get replies into EZLynx, check out the EZLynx for Outlook feature.
Text Message
The Text Message icon when clicked allows you to text your customer directly from within EZLynx. Note - Customer replies will come back to EZLynx check out our Text Messaging article to learn more.
Client Center
The Client Center icon when clicked allows you to see a read-only version of the customer's service portal account. This helps you know what they will see on their end.
Client Center Email Campaign
The Client Center Email Campaign icon when clicked allows you to send a pre-made email campaign to the customer which includes a link to the Client Center customer portal for your agency.
Opportunities
The Opportunities icon when clicked takes you to the existing opportunity for the customer's account in Sales Center. 
Share
The Share Icon when clicked offers pre-made communication options for you to use. The Personal URL (PURL) option allows a customer to fill out a rating application. The Client Center Link via Text/Email allows you to send the link to the Client Center customer portal for your agency.
Google Maps Link
The Map link when clicked opens up the customer's address in Google Maps.
Zillow Link
The Zillow link when clicked opens up the customer's address in Zillow.
Email Link
The Email link when clicked offers to open up your computer's default email software and pre-fills the email address into a new compose email. Note - since this is your computer's default email software it is outside of EZLynx and the default will need to be configured by you or your IT department to work as intended.
Phone Link
The phone number link when clicked offers to open up your computer's default calling software and pre-fills the phone number. Connect Utility Shelf
The Connect Utility Shelf when clicked allows you to access your cross-sell integrations. Check out our Connect Utility Shelf article to learn more!
Collapse
The Collapse icon when clicked make the Applicant Pane smaller by hiding some of the links we discussed above. This is great if you work on a smaller screen and need more screen space.

Applicant Overview


The Applicant Overview can be seen when you are on a customer's account and is only visible from the Overview tab. It houses different widgets that hold key information you can use while working on the customer's account like policies and tasks. Certain Widgets will only appear if applicable information is entered on the account. For example, the Claims Widget will remain hidden until you add a claim to the customer's account using the Actions button. So, if you don't see certain widgets, don't worry! It just means you haven't entered in any applicable information yet for that account. When you do, the widget will automatically appear on the Account Overview page.

IconNameDescription
Policies Widget
The Policies Widget icon is found on the Policies/Applications widget and tells you how many current active policies there are on the customer's account. Note - you can set the widget settings to hide inactive policies.
Applications Widget
The Applications Widget icon is found on the Policies/Applications widget and tells you how many total applications there are on the customer's account.
SortThe Sort icon is found while on the Policies Widget. When clicked, it shows a sort and sort direction option.
Sort DirectionThe Sort direction icon is found after you click the Sort icon on the Policies Widget. When clicked, it changes the direction of the sort option to either ascending or descending.
Widget SettingsThe Widget Setting icon is found on each widget and controls that specific widget's settings like size and hiding/showing items.
Information ChipsThese Information Chip icons are found on any of the widgets and provide you with a scannable, high-level information items like policies, tasks, claims, etc. 
Go To CarrierThe Go To Carrier icon is found on the Policies Widget for each specific policy on the account. When clicked, it provides 3 options: Go To Policy, Go To Billing, or Go To Claims. These options when clicked will take you to that policy's carrier website to find the respective information. Note - some carriers do not support the Go To Carrier button so you might notice it missing for certain carriers and you might notice that some carriers take you straight to the specific page, while others take you to their home page no matter what option you click. FormsThe Forms icon is found on the Policies and Applications widget. When clicked, it provides categories for the different forms that apply to that policy or application. These are based on the line of business. To see the entire forms library, click the View All Forms option.
ActionsThe Actions icon is found on any of the widgets and provides specific actions for that particular item when clicked.
ExpanderThe Expander icon is found on the Policies and Claims Widgets. When clicked it expands that item's to show additional information.
Pinned Notes WidgetThe Pinned Notes icon is found on the Pinned Notes Widget which only appears if there are any pinned Notes from the Agency Workspace. It shows the total number of pinned Notes.
Tasks WidgetThe Tasks icons is found on the Task Widget and shows the total number of open tasks for the customer's account whether they are assigned to you or someone else. Note - you can set the widget settings to show only important tasks.
Task ChartThe Task Chart is found on the Task Widget and shows the total number of tasks depending on status. Each section of the circle clickable and when clicked on it brings up the Task List in Agency Workspace.
Claims Widget
The Claims icon is found on the Claims Widget and shows the total number of claims no matter the status. Note - you can set the widget settings to hide closed claims.
Email Campaigns Widget
The Email Campaigns icon is found on the Email Campaigns Widget and shows the total number of email campaigns. Note - you can set the widget settings to hide completed campaigns.
Accounting Widget
The Accounting icon is found on the Accounting Widget where when you click on the Show A/R Balance button can see the A/R balance, any overdue invoices, and invoices due today.


EZLynx Term! - Applicant = customer in EZLynx lingo! Anytime you see the word Applicant, it means we are talking about your customer.

Documents Tab


The Documents can be seen when you are on a customer's account and is only visible on the Documents tab. It houses all the documents related to this specific customer. For the icons that do not reveal a menu, those are buttons. Simply click on the button to navigate to that page.

Search
The Document Search is found on the Documents tab. You can use it to search for a specific document by name or policy # if the document has been associated to a policy on the account.
Filters
The Document Filters icon is found on the Documents tab next to the search field. You can use it to add filters to your document search to help find specific types of documents.
Clear Search/Filters
The Clear Search/Filters icon is found on the Documents tab next to the search field. Clicking this clears out any search or filters you have applied.
Folder
The Folder icon is found on the Documents tab after adding a folder using the Actions button. Folders are a great way to keep the documents tab organized.
Editable Form
The Editable Form icon is found on the Documents tab after adding a Form using the Actions button. Forms are editable PDFs from the ACORD Library.
Non-editable PDF
The Non-editable PDF icon is found on the Documents tab after uploading a PDF file to the customer's account. Note - only Forms are editable in EZLynx. Normal PDFs are not editable in EZLynx.
Certificate Master
The Certificate Master icon is found on the Documents tab after adding a Certificate Master to the customer's account using the Certificates tab. Note - it is not advised to use the Certificate option from the Actions button on the Documents tab as this is an old workflow. It is highly recommended to use the Certificates tab if you need a Certificate Master.
Word DocumentThe Word Document icon is found on the Documents tab after adding a Word Document using the Actions button or uploading a Word document. Note - whether you add or upload a word document both should be editable in EZLynx.
Excel File
The Excel File icon is found on the Documents tab after uploading an Excel file to the customer's account. Note - an Excel file is not editable in EZLynx. To edit, download from the customer's file and open outside of EZLynx.
Image File
The Image File icon is found on the Documents tab after uploading an image to the customer's account. This can be done using the upload option or as an email attachment if you have the EZLynx for Outlook feature.
Email Message
The Email Message icon is found on the Documents tab after uploading an email to the customer's account. This is normally done using the EZLynx for Outlook feature. 
Shared
The Shared icon is found on the Documents tab after you share a file to be accessible through the customer's Client Center portal. If the Share icon is not visible it means the document is not accessible to the customer via the Client Center portal.

Agency Workspace


The Agency Workspace can be accessed from anywhere in EZLynx by clicking on the Add Note icon on the top navigation bar. The Agency Workspace is the documentation feature that allows you to make notes on customer accounts and assign tasks with reminders, so nothing falls through the cracks. For the icons that do not reveal a menu, those are buttons. Simply click on the button to navigate to that page.

Add Note
When clicked, the Agency Workspace pane will open which will allow you to add a note or task to an account.
Task List
When clicked, the Agency Workspace pane will open to show a list of tasks for the account you are currently on.
Notifications
When clicked, the Notifications pane will open to show a list of unread notifications. To see read notifications, click Show Read.
Close Agency Workspace
When clicked, the Agency workspace pane closes. Make sure to save everything before you close it!
Search for Different Account
There are two search bars inside the Agency Workspace. The 'Customer Account' search field allows you to look for a different customer account if the one you are on is not the one you need to make a note for. By default, this field fills in the name of the customer you are currently on.
Search for a discussion
There are two search bars inside the Agency Workspace. The 'Discussion Title' search field allows you to look for already made discussions if you want to add a note to an existing discussion. If not, simply type in the title for the new discussion in this same field.
Expander
This expander is found on the corner of the 'Type notes here' field. When you fill up this field with enough characters a scroll bar automatically appears, but if you prefer you can use the expander to make the field bigger so you can see what you've written without needing to scroll.
Add Task
When clicked, this will open up the Add Task UI in Agency Workspace which will allow you to assign a task to yourself or someone else in the agency for the customer account. To toggle the UI, click the icon so it's green.
Set as Important

When clicked, this marks the task as important. To toggle on, click the icon so that it's red.
Task Assignee

When assigning a task, task assignee icon will change depending on who you assign the task to. If the task is assigned to a single user, the icon will be of a single person. If the task is assigned to a department, the icon will be of multiple people.
Task Due Date
The calendar icon can be found in multiple places throughout EZLynx. It marks when a calendar can by pulled up by clicking on the icon. Input the date you would like the task to be due.
Task Due Date Time
The time icon indicates a time needs to be entered here. Unlick the calendar icon, it cannot be clicked.
Add Labels
When clicked, this will open up the Add Label UI in the Agency Workspace. Adding labels to Notes and Tasks is like adding hashtags in social media. By adding labels, you will be able to pull Activity Reports to see how many of a certain type of note you make. To toggle the UI, click the icon so it's green.
Toggle Sticky Note
When clicked, this will change the icon to green and turn on the Sticky Note feature. When a note is turned to a Sticky Note it will be added to the Sticky Note widget on the customer's Overview page so that you can see it at all times.
Add Attachments
When clicked, this will change the icon to green and open up the Add Attachments UI in Agency Workspace. This allows you to add attachments to the note. The attachments can either be from the customer's Document library or uploaded from your computer.
Associate to a policy
When clicked, this will change the icon to green and open up the Assoicate to Policy UI in the Agency Workspace. This allows you to associate the note or task to a specific policy that is on the customer's account.
Followers
When clicked, this will open up the Add Followers UI. This allows you to add users to the note or task that need to be notified about this specific note or task.
Create Opportunity
When clicked, this will change the icon to green and open up the Create Opportunity UI in Agency Workspace. If there is already an Opportunity created, you will see a yellow box at the top of the new pane. Click on the yellow pane to open and edit the existing opportunity. Note - this icon is tied to Sales Center

Activity Tab


The Activities can only be found on a customer's account on the Activity Tab. The Activity Tab houses all the activities that happen on the customer's account like notes, tasks, emails, etc. For the icons that do not reveal a menu, those are buttons. Simply click on the button to navigate to that page.

Search Activities
The Search Activities is found on the Activity tab. You can use it to search for a specific activity by typing the Discussion Title or the content inside the activity like the word auto.
Show/Hide Filters
The Filters icon is found on the Activity tab next to the search field. You can use it to add filters to your activity search to help find specific types of activity.
Clear Search/Filters
The Clear Search/Filters icon is found on the Activity tab next to the search field. Clicking this clears out any search or filters you have applied.
Add New Note/Add Note to Discussion
This icon can be found in 2 different places on the Activity Tab. The first icon is found next to the Discussion View/Timeline View drop-down. If you click the icon there, it opens up the Add Note UI for Agency Workspace. The second place you can find the icon is within an activity. If you click on an activity in the Discussion View, you can find the icon on the green bar. If you click the icon there, it opens up the discussion for that activity so you can add to that existing discussion.
Associate to a Policy
When clicked, this will change the icon to green and open up the Assoicate to Policy UI in the Agency Workspace. This allows you to associate the note or task to a specific policy that is on the customer's account.
Manage Labels
When clicked, this will open up the Add Label UI in the Agency Workspace. Adding labels to Notes and Tasks is like adding hashtags in social media. By adding labels, you will be able to pull Activity Reports to see how many of a certain type of note you make. 
Toggle Sticky Note
When clicked, this will change the icon to green and turn on the Sticky Note feature. When a note is turned to a Sticky Note it will be added to the Sticky Note widget on the customer's Overview page so that you can see it at all times.
Edit this Task
This icon can be found only from within a discussion that has a Task activity. When clicked, it opens up the Task UI in Agency Workspace.
Note
This is a Note icon without any Tasks associated to it. If you see a green Note icon, that indicates that the Note is an automated note added by a Workflow from the Automation Center.
Open Task
This is an Open Task icon. It is found when a Task is associated with a Note.
Completed Task
This is a Completed Task icon and is found when a Task which is associated to a Note has the status of closed.
Priority Open Task
This is a Priority Open Task icon. It is found when a Task associated to a Note is marked as important and is still in the status of open.
Priority Completed Task
This is a Priority Completed Task icon. It is found when a Task associated to a Note is marked as important and is in the status of closed.
Email
This is an Email Activity icon. It is found when an email is sent out from EZLynx using the one-off email, email campaign, or EZLynx for Outlook features.
eSignature
This is an eSignature Activity icon. It is found when an eSignature envelope is sent using the eSignature feature.
Text Message
This is a Text Message Activity icon. It is found when any incoming/outgoing texts happen and when unresolved texts are associated with the account. If you notice a purple icon, that indicates that the Text is an automated text sent by a Workflow from the Automation Center.
MMS Message
This is a Multimedia Message icon. It is found when any incoming/outgoing texts happen that have multimedia attached like an image. If you notice a purple icon, that indicates that the Text is an automated text sent by a Workflow from the Automation Center.
