EZLynx is excited to introduce Direct Bill Payments feature in Client Center which allows your insureds to seamlessly go to the respective carrier websites and makes payments! This new capability makes the Client Center a one stop shop for all your payments needs, which includes the ability to pay for both agency bill and direct bill policies. It empowers you to send requests to your customers via email and/or text to make payments directly; thus, removing the need for intervention of agencies during payment process, ensuring a simple and seamless experience for the customers.

How Insureds Access Direct Bill Payments


Your insureds will also be able to see policies in the Payments page of Client Center and can now make payments at insurance company websites. EZLynx maintains the URLs of these insurance companies, so no additional work is needed by the agent to set up this feature.


For the insured to make a Direct Bill Payment, they need to first log into Client Center. Once logged in, they can click on the Payments icon.




From the Payments page of Client Center, they can click on the Policies card. 




Under the Policies section of Payments in Client Center, they will be able to see the policies that are available for Direct Bill Payments. They simply need to click on the Make Payment button on the policy card. This will redirect them to the insurance company's portal for completion of payment. 



 


In case your insureds have any issues or questions with payments, they can click on "Click here to report an issue" under the Payment > Policies section of Client Center.  Just like other features in Client Center, you will see their comments/questions as a task on your customer account's Activity Page in EZLynx.



Request a Direct Bill Payment from an Insureds


You will also be able to send payment request to your customers (Policyholder) via email or text for direct bill policies by using the Request Payment option. To access the Request Payment feature, navigate to a customer's account and click the Payment icon on the Applicant Pane. Then, click Request Payment. Please note, if you do not have a Payment Integration enabled you will not see this option. Check out our Applied Pay Press Release FAQ article to learn more about Payment Integrations!



All the policies which are eligible for direct payments at insurance companies' website will be listed under Policies section. In case you choose 2 policies which belongs to same insurance company, customer will receive a single URL. In case you choose 2 policies which belong to different insurance company, the customer will receive 2 URLs, one for each insurance company respectively.
